The course

What the Mandarin Chinese course includes

    Short units from A0 to C2. An onboarding question places you at the right point, and the next lesson opens when you finish the last one.

  • Review at the right time

    Words from your lessons become flashcards, and spaced repetition brings each one back just before you would forget it.

  • Pronunciation, word by word

    Read a sentence aloud and get a 0–100 score for accuracy, fluency, prosody and completeness, with each word coloured by how close it came.

  • Conversation with AI

    Role Play puts you in everyday scenes, and the voice tutor talks with you and gives feedback after each turn.

  • Stories and reading

    Short texts at your level, with audio, to read and listen to what you have just learned.

The trail follows the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). How far you get depends on how often you show up.
